The Duty Rota Checker is now live – it’s a webtool which allows you to query the LAA’s duty rotas and filer by date, or by lawyer.
This has been made to be a real time saver. I don’t have to tell you how tedious it is navigating the LAA’s .xls spreadsheets, hunting for your firm’s commitments. I hope even the CTRL-Fers and the Excel ninjas find this is much quicker, never mind the print-and-highlighters!
FAQ
Is it accurate?
Yes. It is an entirely faithful transposition of the relevant rota sheet. Nothing is added or subtracted, the checker is just a re-presentation of existing information. Just like the LAA’s spreadsheets, swaps between lawyers are not recorded.
Will it keep up to date with the version X rotas, as and when the LAA release them for my scheme area?
Yes. After selecting the scheme area there’s an automatic check of the LAA’s spreadsheets.
Can I print / download what I filter?
Yes. Click the ‘Download CSV’ button and you can download your filter results. The .csv file format is a very trim spreadsheet format, openable by all the usual spreadsheet programs. From there you can print the filtered commitments, and manipulate the formatting as you see fit.
